This policy explains what information Noveltide ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using Noveltide, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash — we never store or see your plain-text password).

Reading activity. Chapters you've read, novels you follow, your coin balance and transaction history, comments and ratings you post.

Usage data. Pages visited, approximate device/browser type, and referring pages, collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).

Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and to protect your account (these cannot be disabled without breaking the site). We also use, only with your consent via the cookie banner:

• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate — page views, general engagement, device type. We do not use this data to identify you personally.
• Advertising cookies, if and when we display ads on the site (for example, through Google AdSense). These may be used by Google and its partners to serve and measure ads, and may involve Google or its partners setting cookies to personalize ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ad Settings or aboutads.info.

You can decline non-essential cookies at any time from the consent banner, or by clearing your browser's cookies for this site.

How we use your information

To operate your account and reading progress, process coin purchases (once payment processing is live), send transactional email (password resets, new-chapter notifications for novels you follow), respond to support requests, detect abuse (such as the report/moderation system for comments), and understand and improve the site through aggregate analytics.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Payment data

Card and payment details, once purchases go live, are handled entirely by our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number on our servers.

Data retention

We retain account and reading data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (available from your Profile settings), we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update your profile or delete your account directly from your account settings, or contact us via Support for any other request.

Children's privacy

Noveltide is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us via Support and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
